Casa De Palmas, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff (especially Kenny and Yuri). All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled with our one year old and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator this was one of the nicest places we stayed in the four weeks we were in McAllen.

The property outside is beautiful and located close to alot, the lobby is cozy and welcoming, our room was very clean yet it could use repairs and fresh paint. This is a historical building. Maintenance offered to have us moved I declined I was very tired and slept 😴 well. Parking was accessible and available at all times when we arrived. I will stay there again if needed

I really wanted to like this place. It's a beautiful property but it needs some help. I'm not even sure how they are able to keep their Wyndham flag. This place is in need of some serious maintenance and staff training. At first glance the room looked wonderful. However, once the lights were on and I was using the room, it was apparent that the staff did not fulfill their duties. The carpet was burned and stained as well as what appears to be an old blood stain on the bed skirt . The bathroom was dirty to to the point where I had to clean the bathtub to take a shower. After my shower I went to wash my face with one of the towels hung out to find a pair of eyelashes attached. I went down to the desk and let them know I was disappointed, the nice gentleman at the desk offered to switch rooms but it was too late in the night for me to switch rooms for a one night stay. As I was collecting my belongings I checked under the bed and found a roll of painters tape. This tells me the room hasn't been properly cleaned since the last time they did renovations. Before leaving I decided to go check out the pool, what I found was a very dirty pool area with cigarettes all over the ground. The fountain had a dangerous broken electrical panel exposing wires. I'm am so very disappointed. *I was really hoping someone would reach out but it seems lack of care and customer service is very apparent.
